Cleaning Product Review - Scrubbing Bubbles Power Sprayer Daily Shower Cleaner

I try to keep a clean home.  TRY.  When I saw this product, I was actually excited because I HATE constantly squeezing a trigger to cover the entirety of the shower.  Call it lazy, I don't care.  I don't like it.  I've pinched myself THROUGH my cleaning gloves before.  Not fun.

I like the power sprayer attachment.  Once you purchase the sprayer, you can interchange the Daily Shower Cleaner with the Extend-a-Clean.  They also sell refills to the Daily Shower Cleaner and the Extend-a-Clean.  You can also replace the batteries, which is nice so you aren't always purchasing a new power sprayer head.  Everything about this product is easy to use.  Coverage was fine, but as you run out of cleaner, it just turns into a foamy mess.

The power sprayer, unfortunately, was the ONLY part I liked about the product.  The actual cleaner has a horrible smell.  Now, I understand that not all cleaners are going to smell like roses, lemons or oranges.  I get that.  This stuff was just hard to stomach.  This is coming from someone that doesn't mind the smell of Tilex.  It isn't a "clean" or "sanitary" smell.  I could relate the smell to all other unscented Scrubbing Bubbles scents.  It smells almost like burning hair from a permanent solution.  Seriously.  The extend-a-clean solution is similar in scent.  It leaves this burning rubber scent behind.

Did it clean my shower?

I live in an area with hard water which means fighting water spots and residue is a constant battle.  I would say that it did help with keeping additional minerals from depositing, but it did not really help with the existing problem. Even after a month of using this product and doing everything in my power to help the product out, the water must be too hard for this product.

Will I use it again?

No. I threw the sprayer away last night.  I really cannot stomach that perm solution smell.  They try to mask it with a "clean" scent, but it just doesn't work.  The cleaning power didn't meet my needs.  I should say that when trying this product, you should keep in mind that if you have softer water, you might not need as strong a product as I do.

I will go back to using Soft Scrub for now.  I've never used Lime-A-Way because it seems so drastic, but desperate times call for desperate measures.  I plan on purchasing some and will review it at a later date.

The final word:

Probably NOT a good product for those of us who live in areas with mineralized water.  I consider this more of a "maintenance" product.  If you have a new shower, I think use of the extend-a-clean and/or the daily cleaner will help with deposits.  If you have existing water deposits, this product was very weak to break those up.  The smell is just bad.  I would NOT recommend this product to friends and family based on the smell alone, but the lack of performance made it easier to dismiss as a product I will continue to use.
